Hypnosis is a perfectly safe and normal state of mind that we actually go into all the time, so it will feel natural to you. You often enter a hypnotic state when you are daydreaming, watching a good movie, reading a book, or falling asleep at night. During these activities you remain consciously aware and in complete control, just like when a hypnotherapist guides you into hypnosis during a session.
Have you ever been driving and you realized you missed your turn or your exit on the freeway? Perhaps you were completely focusing your attention on something else; this is another perfect example of naturally entering a state of hypnosis. This is called highway hypnosis!
During the hypnosis process, you will hear what the hypnotherapist says, and you will be awake, alert, and remember everything that has occurred. People are usually pleasantly surprised and deeply touched by what they uncover in themselves during hypnosis, which is why this deeper level of work can be truly transformational.
